WEDDING PLANNER

We have listed here a number of things to do once the marriage has been finalised. Some need to be taken care of immediately while other tasks can wait till the wedding date draws closer. In either case, having a list of things to do makes it easier to ascertain that nothing got left out or forgotten. Saves a lot of last minute hassles!
1 MONTH TO THE WEDDING

o Make sure your wedding clothes are collected and ready to wear.
o Make appointments with hair-dresser and beautician.
o Organize Mehendi artist.
o If required, book a horse and some musicians for the groom's arrival.
o Book wedding cars.

 

2-3 MONTHS TO THE WEDDING

o Have all your bookings confirmed in writing.
o Maintain good contacts with your all your wedding professionals: caterers, florist, musicians etc
o Send out invitations.
o Plan your menu and any special requirements with the caterers.
o Choose wedding ringso your honeymoon plans, make sure your passports and vaccinations are upto date and you have applied for all necessary visas.

2 WEEKS TO THE WEDDING

o Finalize the number of guests and inform the caterers in writing.
o Arrange for all your salwars and saris to be ironed and packed.
o Make final checks on all your bookings.
o Confirm with the florist the exact arrangements for collection or delivery of all flowers.

1 WEEK TO THE WEDDING

o Confirm all bookings.
o Confirm menu with caterers and arrange for drinks to be delivered.
o Confirm arrangements for hired crockery, cutlery, glassware or table linen.
o Your wedding clothes should be ready, try on outfits.

1 DAY TO THE WEDDING

o Make sure wedding cars are clean.
o Visit the hairdresser and beautician.
o Your florist should prepare and soak all flowers and foliage and have them ready.
o Try to relax and have an early night.
